The alarm went off at 6:10 a.m. I jumped to turn it off, in a leap from sleep to reality. “Oh, yeah, I need to get to the airport,” I remembered. I glanced out the bathroom window. “No snow. Great. No problem with traffic.” I powered up my phone—the symbol of invasive life. How many texts? Any urgent emails? Ok, turn on the national news. I watch while I shave⎯isn’t it normal, to multitask? So much to do, so little time. What’s that about Washington, D.C.? “A swamp?” Leaders bickering. A lot of tension. Are leaders…leading?
